BCSFA sponsors a Mailing List for discussing Club matters, but it is also for friendly discussion of Science Fiction films, happenings, and other things of interest to group members. Feel free to post photos, art, cartoons, matters of interest, club matters, links to interesting sites, and personal achievements (ie: you won a Hugo and an Aurora all while drinking four quarts of Romulan ale, then threw up in Mr. Science's boot and he still doesn't know who did it.)
In short, the purpose of this group is not only for club matters. It is also for promoting a feeling of levity and unity among group members, generating ideas for club events and outings, and discussing ideas for upcoming VCONs. in short, we would like this to be a group that helps to create new interest and enthusiasm in our club community.
There have been a couple instances of e-mail addresses either abandoned or forgotten that have started to bounce. Should an address bounce for 30 days, it will be removed. If you have just been on a very long holiday or have simply been too busy to check your e-mail, please feel free to re-join.
Basic netiquette will be enforced. If you disagree with another person, do so in a polite and adult manner. If you cannot behave, your posts will be moderated. That means they have to be approved by the listmom before they are distributed on the list. If you still choose to behave in a puerile and abusive manner, you will be banned. Please note that being banned from the mailing group does not ban you from the club. If you have been put on moderation or banned and feel the move is unjust, kindly contact the listmom offlist and state your case politely.
