| | Astronomy Café is an informal weekly gathering of people interested in Astronomy. Every Monday night at 7:30 pm at the Fairfield Community Centre, 1330 Fairfield, Victoria. When weather permits, there is also observing. |

| | Ink Studs (radio show about comics) on Thursdays from 2:00 to 3:00 pm on CITR (UBC student radio) at 101.9 FM, or streaming at citr.ca/live.rm. |

 | BIFF (Burrard Inlet Fan Fellowship) is a weekly dinner for fans which frequently includes videos. Every Friday night (except on long weekends and during VCON) from 6:30 pm until closing at the Eighties Restaurant, 110 West 14th Street (facing the Civic Plaza West of Lonsdale), North Vancouver. |
| | FRED (Forget Reality Enjoy Drinking) is a weekly drop-in fan gathering which features conversation and a trivia contest. Every Friday night from 8:00 pm until late at Boston Pizza, 1333 West Broadway (two blocks East of Granville), Vancouver. |

| | Kamloops Anime Club holds its main meetings on Saturdays from 12:00 noon to 4:00 pm downstairs at High Octane Comics & Collectibles, 250 3rd Avenue, Kamloops. |

| | Victoria Scale Modellers meet on the second Monday of the month at 7:30 pm at the Canadian National Institute for the Blind, 2340 Richmond Road, Victoria. |
| | Perpetual Motion Inventors & Gadgeteers meet on the second Monday of the month at 7:00 pm at Ariel Café, 73 Kingsway, Vancouver. |
| Third Monday |
| | The Vancouver Harry Potter Meetup Group meet on the second Monday of the month at 7:00 pm. Check the calendar on the Meetup site for this month's location. |
| Second Tuesday |
| | The Twinklings, a group to discuss Christian themes in science fiction and fantasy, meets on the second Tuesday of each month from 6:00 to 8:00 pm in "The Bistro" at First Baptist Church, 969 Burrard Street, Vancouver. (Enter through the red door in the Northwest corner of the church [facing the lane] with a couple of doorbells and an intercom. If there is nobody there at the door to let you in, press the doorbell marked "First Baptist Church", and ask the way to "the Bistro.") |
| | Royal Astronomical Society of Canada: Okanagan Centre meets on the second Tuesday of the month at 7:30 pm in the Science Building at Okanagan College on KLO Road, Kelowna. | | Royal Astronomical Society of Canada: Victoria Centre meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 7:30 pm, in the Elliott Lecture Theatre, Room 060, University of Victoria. | | Royal Astronomical Society of Canada: Vancouver Centre meets on the second Thursday of each month at 7:30 pm, downstairs in the auditorium of the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre, 1100 Chesnut Street, Vancouver. Each meeting usually has a program which is a blend of current astronomical research and local amateur activities. The meeting is followed by an informal gathering at the Gordon MacMillan Southam Observatory for coffee, cookies and conversation. Visitors are welcome to attend most meetings, which are free. |

| | Vancouver Electric Vehicle Association meets on the third Wednesday of each month (except July and August) from 7:30 to 9:30 pm, in the cafeteria of the Electrical SE1 Building at BCIT. |

| | International Plastic Modelers Society (Vancouver Chapter) usually meets on the third Friday of the month at 7:00 pm in the second floor Arts Room at the Bonsor Recreation Complex, 6550 Bonsor Avenue, Burnaby. (Note that the date is changed from time to time, so check the IPMS web site if you are planning to attend.) |

| | The Vancouver Comic Jam provides a venue for local comic artists to create a sense of community. Participants each take a turn drawing a panel before handing the page off to another artist. The result is a collaborative story, built by several artists. VCJ is held on the third Saturday of each month at The Jolly Alderman Pub at 12th and Cambie. 8:00 p.m.-1:00 a.m. |

| | Royal Astronomical Society of Canada: Okanagan Centre meets on the last Wednesday of the month at 7:15 pm at the Okanagan Science Centre, 2704 Highway 6, Vernon. (Note that the Vernon and Kelowna meetings are occasionally combined, so check the schedule on the RASC: Okanagan Centre web site if you are planning to attend.) |
| | Royal Astronomical Society of Canada: Prince George Centre meets on the last Wednesday of the month from August to November and January to May from 7:30 to 9:30 pm at the Prince George Astronomical Observatory (20 km South West of Prince George near West Lake on Tedford Road.) Topics of discussion include astronomy viewing tips, constellations, star charts, photography and much more. The meetings are informal and visitors are welcome. |
